Introducing Our New SVP, Head of Product, Ryan Ellis

Our CEO, Prem Akkaraju, today announced that Ryan Ellis is joining Stability AI as SVP, Head of Product. Ellis joins from Unity, where he led product development for the world’s most widely used real-time 3D engine, serving 1.5 million developers across gaming, automotive, manufacturing, and retail. At Unity, he focused on how AI is transforming content creation, expanding Unity’s reach beyond gaming, and developing strategic partnerships and alliances with consulting and technology partners.

"As we deepen our focus on building products that increase the accessibility of our visual media models and workflows, Ryan’s experience and focus on how AI is transforming content creation aligns perfectly with our vision. His track record makes him the perfect leader to drive our product strategy forward," said Prem Akkaraju, CEO of Stability AI.

Before Unity, Ellis spent over a decade at Salesforce, leading product management for UI, mobile, and developer platforms, including the growth of Lightning and its low-code tools, used by 10 million people globally. He helped create and scale AppExchange, the world’s leading business app marketplace.

With extensive experience designing tools for professional creators and developer ecosystems, Ellis will focus on building products that enable more people to leverage Stability AI’s cutting-edge technology to create, build, and innovate. In this role, he will report to our CEO, Prem Akkaraju.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Stability AI team as Head of Product. Stability AI has long been at the forefront of generative AI innovation, and I’m excited to help shape the future of these technologies for creatives and developers everywhere. My focus will be on building products that put creative control first—empowering users to bring their ideas to life with more ease, flexibility, and precision.”
